I know this question gets asked time and time again, but as this is 2015, thing might have changed in the last few weeks. If anyone has renewed this year, can they confirm what they needed. This will be our 10th. Should be able to apply for our White Card. If you believe in that, then you believe in fairies at the bottom of your garden. Thanks.

O.K. Here goes and hope I leave nothing out:

And don't forget if there are two of you, you will need two copies of things like Bank Statements and Contract/Kocan.

Note this is for renewal as first time requires other paper work in addition.

1. Photo copy of your passport - page with photo, and page with Residency stamp.
2. Blue book although no one looked at it.
3. Passport (goes without saying)
4. Photo copy of Contract of sale/Kocan/Rental agreement
5. Muhtar's letter signed by Muhtar and Deputy
6. Ten lira stamp to be bought in the Cafeteria (he charges you 11 - his commission of 1tl!)
7. Photocopies of Bank Statements books showing what money you have here. (I also include Bank Statements from U.K. showing income, and they seem happy to keep this on file)
8. Cash of 250tl per person per year.
(note if you are over 60, you will be offered 2 years if you wish)

So still no WHITE card or permanent residency, will probably be up at Greenhills in the hole in the ground with Rod before that transpires!!!

We went to apply for our white card this year after 11 years here. What white card they said no one new anything about a white card at Nicosia immigration. Where does this white card crap come from.

Lulu, from the BRS I understand. They say they keep having meetings with the Government. I think that Dr Sibel (if she makes it to President which is unlikely) might have a go at getting it through, but WhatNoDeeds pigs are more likely. (See my thread re New Muhtar in Alsancak.
