Re: Driving a TC registered car off the Island
Good morning, I am sorry but I cannot give any advise on taking a TRNC plated car in to other countries, other than Turkey.
I am also trying to find out if we can take our car into Bulgaria for a holiday.
I had a friend who drove to Italy a few years ago, he said the only problem he has was insurance. Being a TRNC registered he could not get insurance to cover all EU countries, he had to pay at every border.
Sorry this is the only onfo I have.

kaiserphil.
Cy44 closed down so long ago means thing will change, giving links to old news is not a good Idea but I know from you it is well meant.
I have tried via the internet to answer this question, as I have mentioned before I would like to drive to Bulgaria for a holiday but have not had any success as yet.
I spend half my time here and the other in Turkey and it is only a days drive to get to Bulgaria.

Where did you buy your insurance? Can they not help??
How about Steve Dickinson who sells insurance to a lot of Expats from his office near the Golden Lady, Alsancak or Trevor Hughes who has a site at Lambousa Market.
Following this with interest because I did read that a car had been refused entry into a Balkan country because the TRNC Plates weren't legal??!!!!!!!

First find a Bulgarian then find out if they have driven to Bulgaria
There are a few Bulgarians about in the TRNC they may know people who have driven there or been refused entry
