Channel 5 - Britains Flashiest Families

If you can bear watching this programme from the beginning without putting your fingers down your throat, you will see a couple who own a villa in North Cyprus as well as elsewhere. They are featured after the first couple. A lot of adverts at the beginning and hopefully it will flow, I had problems with buffering whilst trying to look at this.

Dalartokat.
I was unable to watch this video with out putting the VPN on. This comes from channel 5 who only let UK residents watch.

I've watched the first 20mins.

Self made couples enjoying the fruits of their labour.

Yes they are as mad as a box of frogs and have interesting tastes in clothes but it's their money and they can do what they like with it.

They've robbed no-one and haven't lived off benefits so I say good luck to them.

Sorry Johnny 1 I don't understand about the technical side. If Karmels says you cannot get it over there, not sure what to suggest except I have found this, if any good

Try Dalatokat's suggestion, and see if it works, otherwise: -

If you are with Multimax, there are instructions for using their free 'VPN' on their website.

If you're not, then Google 'VPN' (or better still 'Free VPN' ) and take it from there.

Don't forget to 'turn off' the VPN when you don't actually need to use it though...

Thanks Keith. Just for a heads up, the programme includes the couple Steve & Dawn Peri who own Roccos and their son Dogan and daughter who owns Peri Boutique. The programme keeps referring to "Cyprus" but clearly it's in the North. Dogan has been given Savarona Beach as a project by his father, known as Mr VIP wherever he goes, to demolish the old buildings and Dogan's ideas of how he wants this small resort to look like.

All that you need to know, for our purposes, is that a side effect of using a VPN makes it look like you're in 'another place' - in this case the UK, so that you can use websites that are limited to a UK audience for, say, copyright or licencing reasons - e.g. BBC iPlayer etc.

Other than that - Google it!

All that how to watch it sounds , we'll unnecessary. Just get Ntv €30 ( less than £25 now as rate good ) & u get all uk channels plus over 200 films on demand plus u get watch on demand on most channels as well , plus plus plus so many other channels , prem football , F1 , Sky Sports , Horse Racing channels , Moto gp , it's a no brainer I think.

I did watch the prog , thanks for the info , & thought it was good , bit of a laugh I thought , especially the couple from Doncaster , she's nuts . Plus you get to see a face that comes to North Cyprus regular in Steve Perri who I've had a few drinks with & is a character in him self . Again , cheers for the link .

I didn't realise that NTV allows you to watch programmes at different times on different dates to the dates that they were originally broadcast- I can't see anything about that on the NTV website - how does that work then?

Sorry if I'm dragging the thread away from the original subject...

Keith, if you watch NTV via a mag 250 box, then when you select a channel you can view programs on that channel from i think 3 days ago. If you select a channel, then press the right arrow button on the remote it takes you to a menu, then left arrow button will take you to a days menu, you then scroll to the day you are looking for and press the ok button, then the right arrow again which now gives you the full listing for that day, scroll down to the item you wish to view and press ok, i hope that makes sense.

Geoff.

Hi Geoff, - That's very helpful, thanks. I think that I ought to get off Dalartokat's 'thread' now - 'cos I've managed to drag yet another thread 'off topic'

p.s. Are you the Geoff from Gazimagusa? - The one that used to post on C44? - Used to work for Erskine?

Oh heck, now I'm going even further off topic!

Not guilty Keith, i live near Esentepe. I dont think the thread went off topic too much. Anyone with the NTV system and a mag box could access the program mentioned. I did myself yesterday so the info could help others.

Sorry Keith , I'm often out during the day .

Yes Ntv , pretty much as the other fella says , it goes back 2 weeks on some/ most channels but u find u can only watch it up to about 7/8/9 days after , it will have a yellow dot against it if it can still be watched on demand and if it has a yellow clock face against the channel name that means it is a watch on demand channel . Very very easy when u get the hang of it , all remote control ( for peeps that don't know) best thing I've had here in 9 years , apart from the time I went to Titanic , but that's another story !!!!
Hope this helps .

Thanks ruggy, I think that I've got the hang of it now, please correct me if I'm wrong: -
'Time shift' (of up to a week, on selected programmes) is only available on the 29.99 Euro package, and only when using a Mag250 box - not via 'web' or 'XBMC' using a PC, Android box, or Raspberry Pi. Yes?
