Re MAX BIOCIDE collars for dogs;
I recently visited a local pet shop for a paraband type collar and was offered the brand shown above.
There is little hard information on the packaging and no leaflet inside but I was assured it was proof against fleas, ticks and importantly sandflies. At a price of 15tl each it seemed a good buy.
Upon researching the product on line it is almost certainly not effective against the dread sandfly. Only paraband and one other brand (which I can't remember) is. It is cheap but unless I am very mistaken not in the same class as the more expensive paraband.
Having lost two dogs last year because of Leashmeniasis (caused by sandflies) I know how important it is to protect against.
Do your own research by all means but my advice to dog owners is pay the extra.

Do you know if they do them for cats.

Yes, but not sure what the brand name is. I am sure someone will tell you on here.

the same brand does one for cats. The collars protect against ticks, fleas and mosquitos. Having spoken to the manufacturer (bt e mail) they do not say they cover against sand-fly, just as I have stated. Hope this is helpful
