VIP Lounge at Ercan
I flew back to the UK last week & tried out the new "Bosphore" vip Lounge at Ercan.
Must say it was excellent.
As a holder of a smart card with Iktisatbank the cost for entry was only 10tl.
Even at 6am the buffet was good & plentyfull & you could eat as much as you wanted.
Free spirits, beer etc was also available but to early for me.
There was also free internet & if you didn't have your own laptop/tablet there was a
complimentary one you could use.
I didn't ask the cost if you did not have a smart card though.

As a side issue, received a newsletter from Iktisat yesterday singing the praises of this card, though there was no mention if there was any costs involved.
Have emailed them asking the question...........can anybody throw some light on this, and there views on the card in general.

Like most credit cards there are differing levels. If you have the diamond or platinum card it entitles you access to the lounge at Ercan. If you have a lower card I think you pay 10tl?
Its a nice touch but in my opinion its not that great. The coffee machine was out of order on our last visit and the choice of food was not brilliant however, the guy did make us a coffee (luke warm) and there are of course alcoholic drinks on offer.

As we don't bank with them I think I would want more than Mollie describes for 30 €. Have never had to hang around at Ercan in any case. Just been lucky I guess.

Re: VIP Lounge at Ercan
Not trying to sound ungrateful but there is no way I would pay 30 euros. The lounge is actually split in two, when entering on the card you are told " your half is there " the other half has nice comfy chairs, our side only had a few. Its Ok for an hour or so I guess.

I for one will not be using it with or without a card! As I have no intentions of going anywhere in a hurry. God willing!
