Sports Direct
Hi everyone!
I wonder if anyone knows of a Sports Direct on the South side?
I know there are a couple of Intersport shops but it's Sports direct I am enquiring about.
Thankyou.
While I'm here....does anyone know when the large supermarket is due to open in Catalkoy?
In anticipation of future bargains.....

Re: SPORTS DIRECT
I posted same question a while ago. There is one in the South but I couldn't find it. Probably because I don't have a car and have to walk over. Type in -sports direct in south Nicosia- in the search box and you will find the thread with the directions. Good luck ! Let me know if you find it

Hi Johnny1. Is it possible to walk to sports direct from Ledra Street? I know where Makarios avenue is and the bus station in Nicosia. Is it any where near there? Thanks

Re: Sports Direct
I posted directions a while ago if you search the topic.
It is a very long walk from Ledra street.
There is also the cheapest supermarket on the same road called Anthaneides and across the road from Sports Direct is Lhidl's.

You can get a number 140 bus from solomon square bus station. See here for route details:
http://www.cyprusbybus.com/RouteDetails.aspx?id=80
You get off at John Kennedy Avenue 4 for Anthienitis supermarket(on RHS) or go on for a stop or 2(half a km) and you will see Lidl on left and Sports Direct on right. If you pickup a timetable from the bus station it shows the reverse journey in the first 3 columns, add on 20 mins to the time for the return journey getting on at Lidl/supermarket.

come_on_aylin.
This is quite correct as a friend uses this method of getting to Anthaneides, although I have never traveled by bus in the South.

if you have a car its worth doing also some shopping at the cheapest supermarket probably on the whole of the island...called athienitis.further down you have lidl and opposite that is sports direct.
that street is easy to find but not so easy to walk

Re: Sports Direct
Order on line and have it delivered by DHL may be cheaper than driving to the South or walking across and getting ther bus. We have had four deliveries in the last couple of years and the courier service has been good. You have to arrange to meet them somewhere locally or you could use the Boss Cafe as a delivery address. The cost of delivery last time was approx £11.00

Re: Sports Direct
The bus is only 3 euro return, though obviously if you are planning to buy a lot not as convenient as a car - we usually take rucksacks to carry stuff back, if we go by bus.
