Bogaz (Iskele) University?
Apparently 3000+student are moving in next door to Safakoy "Holiday complexes". The Bogaz area will be swamped with youngsters. The 15 storey folly will at least get used even if the local area is destroyed.

Confused
I have edited your post a little. You admit to "rumours" which is honest enough, but you cannot then accuse people by name or else you personally and by inference the forum could be accused of defammation. Therefore I have left the "information" but deleted the rest. Sorry!!

As an owner on the Sunrise complex, all owners have received emails from Medview. They are planning for the 'folly' to be used as part of a university complex.

Jimm127 are you a moderator? Just curious as this is the first time I've seen this done by someone that does not have "moderator" on their profile.

The ability to edit a post can be done only by the poster themselves, or a moderator. The post contained a comment which is against forum rules.
Hope that helps.

Interesting that students will be coming in to the area. Could well help improve the economy . It does make one wonder if locals may make any objections. As a matter of interest, which university is it - a new one on the way, or an extension of an existing one?

So at the original posted did not edit their own post, I take it then that Jimm127 is a moderator. So I have answered my own question.
Many thanks.

Apologies Marion, I forgot the cardinal rule about not mentioning Medview

There is no cardinal rule about Medview as is shown by message 3. The point being that message 3 is factual information as against the "rumour" that you were suggesting.

Yes I moderate occasionally when needed but abide by the same rules and guidelines as everyone else. I really don't see why it matters though!!

Well it only mattered to me because I was not aware you were a moderator and as I said in my original posting I had not seen this done before and as I said, I was just curious. No big deal, I now know your a moderator from time to time when needed.

Re: Bogaz (Iskele) University?
Some concern up at Hilltop and Seaview after Medview sent out their e-mail. Fears that empty apartments on the site will be let to partying students. Personally I'll believe in this 'University' when I see it.
We kept being told the 'Big Old Bazaar' outside Bogaz was going to be he key shopping mall in North Cyprus.
Yet several years after it was built there is not a single retailer on the place, which is now overgrown and beginning to decay. Sadly Bogaz is in danger of being over-developed with 'buy-to-leave-empty' properties!

Re: Bogaz (Iskele) University?
When I last visted Bogaz I was shocked to see how run down everywhere looked. Hilltop and Seaview in particular looked in a sorry state. I don't know if finishing the blot on the landscape and using it as a university will improve the development or not.
One could argue that if it had been finished as an aparthotel as originally planned there would be noise and people wandering around. It would be up to individual owners if they rented their apartments out to students or not and I expect many will, as it is away of generating money to offset the service charges Medview charge. One thing owners could do, is unite and start taking charge of their site themselves.

Butlers wife. You are correct we also see a sorry state. The neon lights that are on the top of the buidings certainly do not represent antyhing other than tacky in our opinion. We have friends of friends who regret buying on that site. They say they have no voice, no way of getting complaints listening to it sounds a nightmare of a situation.

Re: Bogaz (Iskele) University?
Kiplet do you have the correct place as there are no neon lights on either Seaview or Hilltop, think you are confused with Ceasar Resort!
