DR BARİŞ - Knee replacement surgeon
Just wondering if anyone knows anyone who has had a knee replacement by Dr Baris from Koglan hospital and if they can give me some feedback. Thanks.

Re: DR BARİŞ - Knee replacement surgeon
Good for you asking for feedback.
My husband waited for over a year before he would have this done, only when he had firm recommendations of his knee surgeon would he proceed with it.
The people who recommended him were absolutely on the nail, what a brilliant surgeon. He came from Ankhara to do the op and was around for the following week and saw him every day .
10 days later he was also around for the removal of the staples.
If you are interested the surgeon was Mr Tayfun (typhoon). The operation was done at the Girne Private Hospital at the back of Pia Bella.
The hospital could not be faulted. Spotlessly clean and the nursing care was excellent after the operation.
Just as a matter of interest, Mr Tayfun told us that he never operates after April as once the warm/hot weather comes, people do not heal properly and there is a bigger chance of infection. It was something we had not considered but makes sense. Howard had his op in January 2 years ago now and all is well. The cost was £7.5k

My husband had a knee operation (not replacement) done by Dr Tayfun at Kolan hospital, Lefkosa and another friend has had a couple of ops recently by him there as well. Very good surgeon.
