Forgotten Souls
Open Letter:
Fric and Frac have received their second Rabies jabs today.
They will have a Rabies serology blood test in a further 15 days time. This will be sent off to Scotland by KAR.
After 3 weeks if the blood tests come back OK, the 90 day waiting period will have started from the day the blood samples were taken.
They have been micro-chipped and a TRNC passport has been issued to them.
KAR have written to a courier in Turkey with 5 different ways we could transport them via Turkey to get a range of costs. Once these quotes are back I will have to evaluate each one in terms of cost and practability. I have an obligation to everyone who has donated to use the money raised wisely.
An export licence will be required.
An annexe form will be required.
I envisage that Fric and Frac will not be going to Ireland before May/June 2015.
Please note the purpose of this post is soley to inform you as to what the latest situation is.
I would like to point out to the moderator's it is now 10 days since you locked my thread. No one has contacted me at any stage even though I have offerred to help any investigation.
The only parties sufferring from this delay are Fric and Frac.

Blue eyes, is forking money out hand over fist to keep them in kennels at his own expense. Now is faced with the additional expense of the injection, passport, documents etc. It is extremely unfair that their owner has not coughed up a kurus toward trying to rehome them!!

I really want to update the forum via the other thread Finding Forever Homes for Fric and Frac. However, I respect there is an "investigation" going on (day 12) and will refrain from using this thread to ask for donations or talk financial details. However, should the moderator's wish me to forward them the e mail I received via KAR, I can do this.

without wishing to delay anything that will influence the future of these two unfortunate dogs, I can see why Soner would wish to have investigation. However, I feel that 12 days is a long time for nothing to be happening when every day effects the lives and expenditure for these two dogs. So, come on Soner, please give some answers.

Re: Forgotten Souls
Soner you will now have to explain the outcome of your investigation not only on this forum but on facebook too as this appeared on one of my posts today.
Kemal Basat I like to know more about the accusations of illegal activity surrounding these dogs, anybody have information? http://www.kibkomnorthcyprusforum.com/v ... c.php?f=39...
Just a moment...
Your browser will redirect to your requested content shortly.
KIBKOMNORTHCYPRUSFORUM.COM
Is this part of your investigation or an attempt by someone to sabatoge my attempt to re-home these 2 dogs? Whichever way the vague nature of your reason to freeze the thread has put seeds of doubt in peoples minds.
The fact that I have pm'd you twice and you have not even had the courtesy to acknowledge me is most unreasonable.
Soner, please say what you have to say and permit me my say. If you do not want me to raise funds via the forum just say. I am not looking for trouble or promoting any undesirables. I am just trying to save these dogs from going onto the street.
If your investigation is to go beyond the next 24 hours do I have permission to give details of the quote I was given for taking the dogs from the TRNC to Dublin? This is the one that forwarded on to me by KAR, which you will be aware of?

Re: Forgotten Souls
Is there any moderator online who in Soner's absence can permit me to reveal the cost of sending Fric and Frac by Surmen couriers to Dublin as forwarded to me by KAR. My purpose is only to advise the forum and not mislead anyone as the real cost.
I will also ask permission next week to pass on the quote details for me to drive with the 2 dogs to Kos and for Pet Couriers Ltd to deliver to Dublin.
The final option I have is to go with them by road to Dublin (this will be dependant on whether my work place will give me 2 weeks unpaid leave).
Lastly anyone who has supported my campaign to help these 2 dogs can without any questions asked request the full amount of their donation to be returned to them by pming me.

Re: Forgotten Souls
This is just so sad for you Blue Eyes & ultimately Fric & Frac on finding their forever home.
I don't usually join in contentious issues but having followed your quest for these two lovely dogs I think you deserve a little more respect from the moderators & from your perspective to be informed of what the problem is/or not to enable you to do something about it.
Come on moderators this might not seem important to yourselves but it is for Fric & Frac & their persevering guardian Angel.
For myself I am not looking for the return of my donation as I know you are doing the very best for these dogs, if only the same could be said for some others.

Why does there there have to be an investigation into a caring person trying to find homes for two very difficult to re home dogs, how long are we to wait for a result. I have noticed there have not been any moderator input into this thread, one in particular who usually has something to say about most things.

Re: Forgotten Souls
At the risk of being banned from Kibkom. May I say that I think Blue Eyes has been very unfairly treated. He has been left in a situation, not of his own doing because he tried to help a friend, who had to leave the country! Two large dogs were virtually dumped on him with an ultimatum, find them homes or have them put down!!The owner has not contributed one kurus to this operation! Numerous people have offered to help and now the cost of trying to find them forever homes in Ireland has escalated. Soner, you wanted an investigation!, but no contact has been made or enquiries to Blue Eyes! As he is unable to post on the original forum topic re Fric and Frac he is unable to explain what the current position is! I am sure the majority of people both on here,Facebook and gofundme and paypal are not requesting a refund of their donations, but just want some action in helping get there two dogs to Ireland asap!!

Re: Forgotten Souls
OMG, calm down everybody. I was out all day/night yesterday and the day before on business and this morning have over a hundred emails that I need to get through before I even attempt to tackle this issue.
Fric and Frac have atleast another 90 days in TRNC, so there is no major rush. I have been investigating in between other work commitments and will advise all in due course.
Blueeyes, I will respond to you directly via PM, but had been advised not to contact you at the very start by another member that supports what you are doing. However, please do not speculate and do not try and put me under any pressure to give you answers - the thread was closed for several reasons and I will decide as to whether I will re-open it or not.

Soner with due respect you were advised not to contact me only on the day you decided to freeze the thread. I pm'd you the very next day to say it was ok to contact me. It is courtesy to acknowledge any correspondence regardless of whether you address the issues.
Yesterday I asked for your permission to post details of the quote given to me by Sumerman via KAR. Do I or don't I have permission to post the details on this thread?
Regards
Blue Eyes

Blueeyes, please do not pressurise me, I have more pressing issues to deal with whether you like it or not.
You have no idea as to how many PM's, Emails I get each day. Your PM is one of very many. I have also had many of members complaining about your thread - so please give me time to deal with situation.

Re: Forgotten Souls
Soner, I am asking to post the details of an email with the cost of getting the dogs to Ireland by Sumerman. This has nothing to do with your investigation. I am asking your permission to post this on the forum out of respect to the forum members before I post it any where else. As you can appreciate every person who has donated has the right to know what the final cost can be. I cannot commit to any courier without knowing I can find the financing. This is definitely something I need to do asap as not to mislead anyone. Please treat this in isolation to your ongoing investigation. If I did not respect your stance I would just go ahead and post without your permission.

Poor old Fric and Frac ... cant believe people have actually complained and suggested illegal activity about Blue Eyes's amazing efforts to rehome these dogs to the UK. Surely the original owner is the person to scrutinise for leaving the dogs ... Blue Eyes should be commended for his efforts for these 2 beautiful yet unwanted dogs.

Kimi thank you for your support in this matter. I am sure no one knows these two beautiful dog more than you, seeing them every day. Sadly I am sure they now believe that were they are, is their forever home.As Paddywack has asked, is there anymore information on the investigation? I appreciate that they are not able to leave Cyprus as had been hoped for, but funds need to raised to achieve their move to Galway as soon they are able to travel. I for one will continue to support, to the best of my ability and I am sure many more are also willing to help!!
Cally thanks for your continued support!

Re: Forgotten Souls
A number of people of have quite rightly questioned what the "real" owner of Fric and Frac has done to help these dogs after he left. He did leave some money to cover 3 dogs being kept in kennels for 12 days and finding homes for the dogs within 2 weeks or "make a difficult decision". The money he left has been exhausted many times over since the dogs have been in a pet hotel for for 4 months now.
When previously asked for help he has promised on separate occasions to myself and H4P but never kept any of his promises.
If anyone from this forum is on Facebook, I would suggest you post on Fric and Frac's page and ask him if he is willing to help his own dogs?
He follows everything Fric and Frac related on Facebook.

Serology Rabies Blood Test samples taken on Saturday 14th February to be delivered to KAR today. Results will take up to 3 weeks to come through. If all OK then then the 90 day wait also started on 14th February. Therefore, once an export certificate is obtained Fric and Frac could enter the EU anytime AFTER 16th May.

Some good news at last, even though they have to wait for what seems a endless time. Poor dogs must think that the vets is their " new for ever home" Thank you for you perseverance and dedication to their cause, in spite of some negative postings. I will continue to help, as long as it takes to get them to Galway!

So annoying I have just lost a post.
That is good to hear BlueEyes (I think). Does that mean all being well medical wise they will receive their EU passports & be able to enter the EU to begin their journey home, I presume that will be a cheaper way to travel. I know Fric & Frac are safe and it is not ideal where they are but things could have been so much worse if you hadn’t stepped up to the mark.
I know you are one in a million and couldn’t of done it without your little helpers so a big thank you from Fric & Frac & I will still be supporting you over the next 90 days.

In 87 days time and once an Export Licence is purchased there will be no need for an EU Passport. Fric and Frac will be able to travel to and between EU countries for a given period. This period will be more than enough time to take them to Ireland.
I would like to thank everyone who has supported me both vocally and financially. This has helped give me strength to see this through to a happy ending for these 2 lovely dogs.

Re: Forgotten Souls
Latest Update:
I have been advised by Animal Couriers Ltd who tell me that Kim (KAR) has informed them that Fric and Frac should be ready to leave Turkey on 18th May.
They also emailed me this morning with a quote to take Fric and Frac from either Athens or Kos to Dublin. I hope to be able to post early next week a comparison of the 3 alternatives with up to date costs (hopefully final costs).
Lastly and definitely not least, I am happy to say I have received another very kind donation from “A Friend of Fric and Frac” which will help pay for up to 6 weeks kennelling. This donation will be added to the gofundme figure next week once it is updated to show the final cost of transporting Fric and Frac to Galway, Ireland.
