Internet !!!

Internet very slow tonight, pages not opening etc and " Technician" gave it the all clear this morning, I have no particular knowledge of techie things but is this normal ??? ping 11ms , Download Speed 16.77 Mbps , Upload Speed 2.96 Mbps , Anyone ??

ttoli - those are pretty good stats,and you should not have any problems,I suspect your problem may lie with your computer.

Assuming you are testing to the MM office (as no-one else will give you those speeds ) it could be a problem with the sites you are downloading from or an off island problem. As am example if someone like ticket master had just released One Erection's latest tour tickets you would find accessing that site very slow. There could also be routing through Turkey issues. Easy way to see if it your machine is to try someone elses on the same signal.

If Ttoli is experiencing slow speeds it could be an issue with one of the sites he is visiting. I sometimes have a problem with Hotmail for instance even when my connection to multimax is fine. A speed test to MM will not show off island problems so if there is an issue through Turkey or if Ttoli is visiting a busy or problematical site he will find the response slow. When my neice was here she was trying to buy tickets for some band that had just gone on sale and the site took ages to load due to it being so busy. So basically even if your provider is providing good speeds other areas of the internet may be under-performing.
