A question for our IT experts

For a while now, whenever I play a video from Youtube or other sources the sound cuts out after 30 seconds to a minute or so.

I am on a laptop using Windows 7.

Any ideas, anyone please?

I am not receiving any error message, but thanks Bill, I will have a look at those suggestions.
