Wondering if anyone has tried the new restaurant yet, opposite Saltys? I understand it is run by the guy from Pasta Mania. Only problem is no parking, but don't mind the little walk from the precinct up the road.

Yes Deniz1, we were told the guy from pasta mania, now in the cacao, and 4 other partners. Thought we might give it a few weeks to settle down before we try it.

Hope they do sort the parking out it was causing chaos coming off the roundabout the other evening. Cars in front stopped to wait for a space right outside the place while traffic built up around the roundabout.

Why do people open restaurants or bars in stupid places with no easy access to parking. Surely that should be the first priority?

Actually one of the best restaurants to open would be where people drive their cars through the front door and park at their table, judging how bone idle some people are when it comes to walking anywhere.

Yay, lottidotti, love it, and so right....I am sick of trying to get the shopping trolly out of Erdener......I truly think that TC's will shortly lose the use of their legs, you know, use it or lose it.....he he

And if they are not blocking the entrance at Erdener, their cousins are sat outside Supreme causing chaos whilst wives or girlfriends avoid the 5 metre walk in a perfectly good, half empty car park !

Yes, but come on chaps, be fair, it is not easy being a female, wearing skyscraper heels that you can barely walk in and tiny tight little skirts that restrict your leg movements...........and then you are expected to shop as well!! for heavens sake!!!! Of course they need to be dropped off as near to the door as possible......but those ramps must be hell for them to negotiate.....and steps.....on my.....Don't mention steps...arrgghhh!

I'm thinking,LottiDotti,. from your thoughtless comment that you are in fine health but not everyone is.Some people cannot walk 1/4 mile or even 100yds from carpark to restuarant

Yes maud_lib I am in fine health and you are right not everyone is.But I am sure you will agree that it doesn't entitle even disable people to block other people's access to pavements, entrance and rights of access.but aside my comments were aimed at bone idle able bodied people who cannot respect other people's rights to have free access.
I am sure maud-lib you would not park on a footpath or so close to an entrance that other people were inconvenienced by such selfish behaviour.

We tried it on Friday night but I found it very confusing. Megabucks must have been spent on the interior with a grand chandelier above an absolutely wonderful oak table but at the end of the day it is mainly a pasta and pizza bar with the food reasonably priced. We enjoyed the food but it was spoiled a bit by the waiters. They hadn't a clue what was going on and there were loads of them bumbling around together. Some had a uniform and others were in scruffy jeans. They certainly could do with some training.
However overall I would go back again as I hope the service might improve in time.

Thanks cjtill that's the response I was looking for. Think I will leave it a few weeks for them to get their act together then. I thought it might be as you described a pasta/ pizza place.

Thanks Nancy, I didn't think that belonged to them. Why on earth do they all park in the road then?

Parking on the road because they can't get on the pavement!

I have been here for dinner.....
They will park your car for you, or let you park right in front, if you leave them the keys. This valet service was great for us.
Ambiance lovely, menu very nice and affordable, service was better than usual in N. Cyprus. I recommend going on a weeknight when not too busy, as many friends had excellent meals and service at those times, as opposed to FRI/SAT night when super busy, as we waited too long for our food. We did receive champagne on the house and apologies. I think it will be a great place once it settles in.
And the pizza is fab for a casual meal!

Went a few days after opening (Tuesday) and went back 2 days later (a Thursday evening). Fantastic venue - very swish with lots of seating options and beautiful surroundings. Menu extensive and very reasonably priced (some pasta mains costing only 18TL). All of our food was beautifully presented and delicious.
Yes - the kitchen was struggling to meet demand and there were long delays. The staff were also struggling to deliver the service.
However - it has all the makings of a fantastic restaurant and I want this one to succeed so that I can add it to my list of places to take my friends and family when they visit.
Good luck to La Campana!

We had lunch there on Sunday. It was pleasant but in our opinion the portions were quite small. We both said we would give it another chance but choose a different dish!
