Has anyone crossed over the border at Metahan recently, is it still slow.

Did both ways last week.

South - North. 4pm on a Friday. 10 cars 10 minutes (including insurance)

North - South. 1pm on a Friday. No cars no minutes on Turkish side. 5 cars on Greek waiting for passport/ID check. I was waved through without check when showed EU Passport.

Short answer = simples!!

Went to South shopping yesterday, over at 11.00 back at 15.00 no waiting at all. Did not bother to scan passports on Greek side.

We report a similar experience on our trip yesterday -absolutely no queue at 11.15 and no passport scanning and no one in Greek police post on return.
