Looking for suggestions to fix practically new sun umbrella - it's a large wooden pole type but end of last summer the pole was snapped in two by the wind. We tried wood glue on it but that didn't work.
We put it away for the winter to have a think about what we could do with it & as it's now getting close to that time to bring it out again we are looking for any suggestions/ideas. Anyone had a similar problem ?
I'm guessing we will just have to dump it but seems a shame to do that!
Thanks for reading
K

Not sure where you live. However, we took our similar problem to the handyman/yapi opposite Supreme supermarket, Çatalkoy. He fixed at a very reasonable cost and within 2 days. I guess the resolution depends upon where you live.

depending on where the break actually is, maybe fit a close fitting metal sleeve over and hold in place with small screws to prevent it slipping.
The wife keeps complaining I never listen to a word she says ............. or something like that.

Metal sleeve would be my first choice as well!
