Insurance Booth Metahan South to North

I know that this subject comes up regularly but having done a search, I am still struggling for the definitive answer.
In April I have booked a hire car from Larnaca and intend to cross into the TRNC at Metahan which I have done a number of times before.
My flight doesn't arrive until 21.55 and thus I do not think that I can get to Metahan before 23.30 at the earliest. Does anyone know if there is any possibility that I will be able to buy Insurance at this time??

I don't know what time it shuts but can tell you it opens around 7am.

I did a nightflight once and got to Metehan at 6am and had to wait an hour.

You may have to look at maybe spending a night in a hotel Larnaca.

You could try asking the hire company if they would consider arranging insurance for you in advance.

I'm sure that I read something along those lines in the dim and distant past.

They would probably need copies of all drivers' licences.

Twaddle, use Petsas Car Hire (on-line) and ask them to include insurance for the north. They will add a surcharge of €10 making the total of €35. You then have peace of mind about finding an office open. Good company, good vehicles and good service. My family visitors use them every time and never a problem. Hope this helps.

I asked a couple of weeks ago, they said usually 9PM.

Do remember that the insurance is only Third Party. If you damage the hire car and they have your credit card details, they may deduct costs if you damage their car. Much better to hire on the Northern side. where cover can be Fully Comp.
