Medical Question

Hi,
Today I have noticed a few "marks" have appeared on my chest & back.
Obviously I want to get these checked out asap.
Going back to the UK is not an option as I live here full time.
My question is, where do I go.
Would anyone know if there is a dermatology clinic here or do you just go
to the state hospital or a private clinic.
Any help or advice on this would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks.

I'm no medical expert or expert on the TRNC medical system but you could start by visiting a chemist.
The one on the main drag opposite the Catalkoy turnoff is extremely helpful in my experience.

Of course others on here may have a better idea.

There is a female dermatologist at Kamiloglu hospital(aka Kyrenia Medical Centre) near the HSBC. If you head towards town centre with HSBC on left it's in the first road on right after you pass HSBC.

An indication of what the marks look like and colour would help people try and advise as to what it may be, but visiting a chemist is good advise to start with.

Depending on where you live, Hatiice at the pharmacy near Lapta Starling (opposite side) . It is on the little parade with Glamour Fairy hair salon. She is very helpful and knowledgeable and speaks perfect English. Good luck.

There is a dermatologist at Near East in Lefkosia, (lovelylady Dr Asli) but I would suggest going to see Dr Turk at the Near East Clinic in Girne. (He was VIP med,but is the equivalent to a British G.P. ) You can call in there. It is on the road past Laconic computers, on the same side and opposite the KAR supermarket.

Phew. I am so glad. Also glad that the State Hospital has yet another satisfied client. I would certainly go there if I had a problem. But I am more glad that, like Mafeking, you are relieved!
