Trousers need alterations

Hi, can anyone recommend somewhere that can alter my trousers please. Alsanjak area.

There's a seamstress who lives a few doors away from the Mosque in Alsancak - I don't know the exact house, 'cos I'm not the one who takes things to her, but she's always done a smashing job of altering stuff for us.

I would go and knock on a few doors, and say "Kadın terzi nerede?" until someone points you in the right direction - it's a technique that always seems to work for me...

I am the same. Know the lady well but cannot give directions. She shockingly charges very little for alterations. Do as keithcaley says and follow his advice to find her. Exoctic Kumas in Karaoglanoglu is too expensive. I have never gone back there since I ended up paying 150 pounds for 3 plain cotton strappy sundresses which in the end had the least amount of material to them. I ended up with a-line instead of flared from under the chest !. I never could wear them.

I've used the terzi in the middle of the village opposite the post office many times.
He speaks no English, but if you don't speak much Turkish, a sketch will do the job.
He's always done a good job for me.

Don't go to exotic unless you want to be a laughing stock,I went to have trousers made and when they were finished it looked like i had just been riding they were like jodhpurs .Even after they altered them i could never wear them.
