Re: The Fez
I know that The Fez has a website which will give you much more info (I haven't got the web address to hand but just google 'The Fez Catalkoy' and it will pop up). It has undergone a major refurb (accommodation re-styled, new pool area and bar and restaurant area has a makeover). My view - I like it a lot and we have eaten there half a dozen times - nice gastropub menu, nice ambiance and Louise and Beyler provide a super customer service. Give it a go!

Re: The Fez
Thanks for the reply
We did try it, quite a small menu
My food was served on a wooden chopping board, very pretentious imo
The food was ok

Re: The Fez
The wooden board is a Jamie Oliver innovation very fashionable at the moment.

Re: The Fez
niceone. Not all the dishes on the menu are served on boards. Sounds like you probably had one of their big burgers. I like their menu which has a number of quite different options, but if you want typical Cypriot ie kebab/ mezzi you need to go somewhere else. I live locally so may be biased, but I really like the Fez as a watering hole/restaurant. I would suggest you try it again, the steak and ale pie is excellent, but all the menu is consistantly good. However as the saying goes, 'you can't please all the people all the time'. Happy eating

Re: The Fez
Hi Silverfir
I was a bit stuck what to have, I don't like fish, I had Thai at Bo Thai the night before, the fillet steak was too pricey at 56TL, my husband had the pie, I wanted something different from him but when I ordered the cottage pie it was sold out so I ended up with a burger lol.
I do like the Fez and I will go again just not very often unless they increase the menu.
Enjoy your favourite watering hole x

Re: The Fez
Thank you niceone. Guess we will eat there again tomorrow night because they have Ivan the sax player followed by Tuxedo Junction for our entertainment. Looking forward to that and an Efes or two of course. Cheers

Love the Fez - suggest you try the pate stuffed mushrooms in batter - to die for! Hayal and her staff are fantastic and Lorraine the Chef is the best! Highly recommend xx
