keeping my turkcell sim going when back in the uk

Just inserted my turkcell SIM into my phone in the uk and doesn't seem to work. Thought I might be able to use it ever 3 months to keep it live. Any other thing I can try? Thanks all frugal

You can't use it in the UK. To keep it live you have to top up and then you have 300 days before the sim gets cancelled. You can top up online via credit card in the UK. See link below to an earlier thread.

Mine is on contract and can use it in uk.its about 3tl a month if you are not using it to keep account open

Hi they changed the system with PAYG Turkcell a while ago as it happened to 2 friends of ours when they were in the UK. You now have to specifically request roaming facility. I phoned Turkcell on their behalf, the first one was no problem but the 2nd one I had to ring twice as the first person I spoke to said they had to ring themself. The person phoning will need full name & DOB.
