Are the insurance booths open at Metehan on Sundays

We need to go to Larnaca airport on Sunday but our insurance for the south runs out that day. Are the insurance booths open on Sundays or will we have to make two journeys and go Friday and buy insurance?

I think they are open on Sundays. The reason I say that is last year we took a special trip on A Saturday just to get Insurance, when we went through on Sunday they were open.

Hi at least one of the insurance booths will be open but if your insurance expires that day it is valid until midnight so you do not need to buy a new one for your trip.

Thank you for your replies, yes our insurance expires on the 3rd May so it looks like we may be ok for Sunday then, that's good panic over.

A related question please. How much is the insurance and what currency will the GC insurance booth people accept? Thanks. John

25 Euros for a month (minimum period) don't ask me why you can't get one-day cover.

Credit cards OK Lira, they are not happy.

Just to let you know that I checked my insurance for going south and it expires at 10.10 am and not midnight as stated.

If the insurance booths are not open on Sunday, we are snookered.

As far as I can ascertain, there is not a Public Holiday in the South on Sunday - and Public Holidays do not usually occur on a Sunday anyway as it is not a normal working day...

The nearest holiday date is May 1st (Friday).

To set your mind at rest, ring the Minerva Insurance booth on the South side on Saturday to check - their number is +35722770319 & the Minerva Head Office number is +35722551616

Don't worry, I'm sure that you will be fine.

Thank you Keith, I phoned Minerva Insurance yesterday and was told that their booth was not open today but there is always
one booth open on Sundays. Apparently they take it in turns to open Sundays. So no problems, made it to the airport in time.
