Horrendous Problem with Google - Please Help

Yesterday I decided to open another account with Google. Today Google is refusing to open one of my earlier accounts. Its saying it doesn't exist. I need urgently to open the original email address as it contains a lot of important information. i.e. Google is treating me as if I am a first time customer, as it were. Anyone any suggestions. Thanks.

Don't know whether this will help (especially the 4th para starting "You're already signed in to another Google Account on this computer......"), but there's also the 'Google accounts troubleshooter' link at the bottom....

Try from another PC.

I think I'm gradually getting there by changing and renewing passwords on two accounts. I wanted to split the contents, files and address book of one email address into another, but apparently I can't because I can't transfer .com to another .com. If I had have selected co.uk there would have been no problems at all. Seems nonsense to me, but then if I knew all there was to know about Google, think how rich I would be!! Thanks for coming back, and if my way doesn't eventually works, then I'll try your routes.
