Does anyone know if bills can be paid by debit card here , thankyou .

I think if I remember correctly my offer of paying by card was refused, they wanted cash (although stirling was OK)
Unlike KKTC electricity who want TL

Don't know the official line though, just ask them

Presumably if you pay at a Bank, then the Bank would accept Debit card payment?

n.b. this is only hypothesis, as I live in Alsancak, and don't have any dealings with Catalkoy myself!

No bank wont take cards for belediye bills.

Why not set up a Direct Debit and you wont have to remember each month? My electricity, water and mobile phone bills are paid monthly by this method.

last time i did that I was for ever going to the bank as they kept forgetting to do it. Now i pay cash for my bills and i know its done and the phone wont be cut off.

Yes, I just pay cash whenever I'm over there playing catchup.

Apart from the electricity where I generally pay an excess onto my account.

So far no problems, grumbles or fines.
