Karsiyaka Turtle Watch now have an information point situated on the car park of the first restaurant. This is to provide information on nesting & hatching of Logger head Turtles & Green Turtles both of which nest on our beach here. So please come & visit us we are open every Saturday & Sunday between 11am & 2pm. We have lots of information in different languages & also sell souvenirs, buckets & spades & books to raise funds to support our Exeter students who patrol Alagadi & Ak Deniz beaches. So far this year we already have SIX nests on our beach!

Looking forward to seeing crowds this weekend !!!!!!!

Also forgot to say we are no longer at Lambousa Market on a Saturday, call in and see us at the new venue. Baby turtles should start hatching mid July.

Gilly that's really interesting, I have seen the turtleshack but not been to visit yet. Last year while having lunch at Guzelyali next door, we saw a poor turtle washed up dead, and were informed that they do not normally come in so far west?

Another nest today I think that takes us to 9 so far this year, boy are we going to be busy this season. That beach has been patrolled for 8 years now so YES they do come this far West. Don't forget to visit our shack at the beach for more information.
