For the last 20 or so years of my working life I was the appointed Sheriff's Officer of Suffolk which, amongst other things, involved the execution of High Court Judgments against individuals and Corporate entities, for sums between £5,000 and many millions of pounds. In many fraught situations it was suicidal to introduce myself and my warrant with such a pompous title so, when appropriate, I would use the title Deputy Dawg and flash a tin Sheriff's badge from behind the lapel of my suit jacket rather than the formal identification badge of office. Such defendants then believed that they had an easy to bluff total idiot on their hands and were more motivated towards discussing the legal issues with me rather than offer violence. I still have both badges but, more importantly, no lasting wounds !

My friends and I were HUGE fans of Scoobydoo (we were all about 9yrs old), so we named ourselves after the characters and became the Scoobydoo Gang. We were always in trouble trying to recreate some of the shows.

I nearly ended up with the name Daphne but my friend wore the dark rimmed glasses so I got away with that one and the only spare one was Fred.

As with Cherryblossom, my old working life required me to use, and constantly change a whole plethora of user names and passwords. When I joined C44, I had just watched the film Hot Fuzz, which was based in Sandford, so I thought why not, I can remember that one. It was also, by coincidence, the name of an office building I once worked in.

I use the forum name erolz because my real name is erol ziya. Erol on its own might get confused with other erols. Erol Ziya is a bit to formal , hence erolz. I am the same person in the vitual environment as I am in the real world, I do not say things in the virtual world I would not say in real life and have no interest or need to say things from a 'hidden' identity that is not clearly linked to my real world one, thus I just use a shorten version of my real world name.

What's in a name. As long as all kibkomers 'smell as sweet' the names don't matter. as for Erol losing his Z - it is still there on the old Cyprus 44. Which set me to wondering how many form the old Cyprus 44 have retained their names form there, or have taken new identities on KibKom? come on - own up!

My first car I had was a 1971 Jensen Intercepter Mk2 when I was 17.

How I miss that car, & I've promised myself I will buy get one again sometime in the future.

I had used flower names for other forums (one being a pun on my second forename) so I thought it might help my aging memory if I stuck to the theme. I chose Rambling Rose because I do tend to ramble on a bit

I use Elizabeth because my grandaughter says I am like a Queen. I did use another name on 44 but sadly someone on there disagreed with something I said and started sending me threatening and obscene emails so I prefer not to use that name again.

My name's Fatma. The Turkish abbreviation of it is normally Fatos (pronounced Fatosh). However I was brought up in the french-speaking part of belgium, where my family called me Fatouche.
