Does anyone know where I can buy coconut oil here in the North please?

I've used up my last jar brought from the UK by a friend.

Thanks

If I find any I'm going to stock up

Hi I bought some in the pharmacy on the Bellapais Road on the left just past the turning to Lemar.
Now, having never used it before can I have some suggestions please it was rather expensive to freely use it as normal oil!

Hi Ozankoy's,

I use it with all of my fried cooked food, along with turmeric, another great health benefit food. If you Google, "benefits of coconut oil" you'll find many health sites with cooking / culinary suggestions.

Thanks to others who gave where to buy suggestions.

John

Just shows how times have changed! Any other ex Blue Jobs out there that did a tour at RAF Gan? If so can you remember when you used to pay the local Maldivians for a pint bottle of coconut oil so you could get a good tan and stop being called a "Moonie"? The stuff was so cheap it was almost free then but that was mid 60's to mid 70's so I guess everything goes up in price.

Sure do, but I remember the Singapore dollar much clearer than them - lol. Spent my 18th at Gan (Maldive Islands), my 19th in Kuching, my 20th in Labuan and my 21st in Changi. Then the world changed and the fun was over.

OK I'm going off topic but I posited the original so.. Waddo and Silverfir I can recommend a very good novel written by a friend, Steve Bridger, who grew up in Singapore. One Degree North and it's available on Amazon. No I'm not receiving commission just recommending a friends book. A very good read.
