Re: lost purse
wow I think that is a bit harsh, I live in the uk and you would not leave your car unlocked here or your back door open.
We live in a really nice area but the scumbags target us.
While TRNC is not perfect (where is ?) the crime rate is well below the uk
Well done to the person who returned it

Re: lost purse
Woodspeckie, the thread is praise for someone's honesty. Have to say if comparisons were made the same degree of honesty would be less likely to apply in UK, this has nothing to do with the selling of houses, which I hasten to say has suffered greatly from millions of pounds worth of fraudulent transactions over the years. I know this as I worked in a fraud dept of a major UK bank for many years. Smartiepants is simply pointing out one persons honesty, and given I know there was a large amount of cash in that purse, I think that person restores some faith in human nature.

Re: lost purse
I am of the opinion that most people are honest every where. I lost my wallet in the UK with £150 in it at a bowling alley. Thought there was not much chance of getting it back. But low and behold one of the cleaners found it and handed it in.

Re: lost purse
Wow it does seem that the harshest posts sometimes come from those not living here! there is a lot of honesty in the smaller villages. We live here and in our village even people who dont really get on will be mob handed if there is a crisis. Also if anything is dropped in our roads, it is either left there or given back if they think they know who lost it
Sorry for you!And really not trying to score points just because we live here, it's no matter!
