Hello, everyone. Prior to my move to TRNC, I am wondering which electronics I should buy in UK rather than in TRNC.
Would it be best to buy the items listed below in UK? (I know I will need invoices that are at least 6 months old, or pay customs duties.)
- Laptop/notebook
- Printer/scanner
- Small peripherals such as CD reader, keyboard, mouse, backup drives, etc.
- Smart phone
- iPod doc/speakers
Would it be best to buy the router in TRNC? Not sure if a router configured for the UK would work in TRNC.
I would appreciate any advice.
Many thanks
Dana

My opinion: -
Electronics are generally cheaper in the UK, and all work fine here. Buy them in UK.
Router-wise, you would need to know whether you are going for ADSL ('Internet/Broadband' over a telephone line) or 'Wireless' (via a dish on your roof - the most common option here in TRNC) to make sure that you bring the right 'sort'. They all work OK here, internet standards are more-or-less 'Universal'...
