What is going on with the TL it reached 2.87 today here in the trnc, and I couldn't get any money from the bank to change it as they are on holiday again...............

Managed to take out £300 this morning & change it Lol.

don't want to be a wet blanket but the lira falling against the pound
can be a warning that inflation is on the way
...in the short term, yes, you do get more for your money
but over the year, higher import prices can result in local prices going
up a fair amount
the other question is why should the lira fall against other currencies?
usually it is explained in terms of the us dollar being a refuge currency
or sometimes, because local prices are already rising too fast
