Macaron Restaurant

We have been to this restaurant a number of times now and the food has been consistently good. The menu is varied, the prices very reasonable and the service good. It is in Alsancak almost opposite the Belediye offices. The chef also does an excellent Sunday roast lunch.

Myself and my husband have now been three times food is very good... service wasn't brilliant first time but the couple times after that were alot better good value for money... just needs a few more people trying this place give it a go worth it.....

Four of us went for Sunday Lunch at the macaron today. The service was very good, although we were the only customers.

Two courses for 25 TL, but we were served a delicious 6-dish meze and warm bread before our starters arrived!

Starters are pate, vegetable soup and fresh garlic mushrooms; we all ordered the mushrooms - delicious.

Main course was pork or beef, although you can order chicken the day before, if you prefer. Two large slices of meat with the vegetables served up on your plate - all hot and tasty. In separate dishes were gravy, mustard, horseradish and cranberry sauce.

Deserts were cheesecake and probably something else, but we were too stuffed to indulge.

Complimentary coffee and brandy.

Excellent value for money. We had 2 complaints - too much food on the plate and no fans outside.

Looks interesting with good report,s but I am afraid all those stairs rule it out for my 'old man' - cos he is just that - too old to manage the steps.

Might try it sometime if I am dining with others. Hope they make it.

You can eat outside, and there's no stairs involved. Not sure if there's maybe a couple at the main entrance, if so come in via the car park at the side of them and it's all plain sailing.

We attended a party last evening at the Macaron.
Everything was perfect, the food was amazing, although far too much of it. The staff were attentive, nothing was too much trouble,what lovely people. They definitely go ''the extra mile'' to please.
We'll be back !!!!!
