vessels out at sea
Hi folks.
just looking at about five ships ? at sea,
my binoculars are good but the vessels are too far away.
they dont look like the pipeline ships and one looks like a gas platform.
any ideas.

Well I would hazard a guess that as Turkey launched air strikes on Syria in the early hours they are now on stand-by, patrolling the waters.

Re: vessels out at sea
They have been out there for a considerable period of time and from my location would seem to be on the line that the pipeline is taking.
My guess is, as they seem to be edging closer each day, that they are carrying out checks on the pipeline, prior to bringing it on line.

And if you look at Keith's post you will see he has earned two "likes"! I have to admit both were me, experimenting to make sure it worked before I posted, so presumably if you want to get him a lot of brownie points, presumably you can like just as much as you want.

Just for anyone as confused as I was initially about what this 'likes' thing was about, the 'like' button on a post only shows if you use the 'prosilver' board style (as far as I can tell). You can choose your board style under 'user control panel' and 'board preferences'. Oh and pressing 'like' multiple times for me does NOT increase the count.Ragged Robin wrote:And if you look at Keith's post you will see he has earned two "likes"!

I bow to your superior wisdom, Erol, but on my screen "like" is next to the "quote" button at the top of the post . Oddly I only noticed it last night! But I have just pressed the "like" button three times on your post, and it registered it as "3 likes"! I shall however refrain from doing more, as funny things have been known to happen when I mess about with things I dont understand.

Re: vessels out at sea
You have a magic account RR - I have pressed it about 20 times on Kieth's post and the first time it took the counter from 2 to 3 and subsequent times did nothing. SO then I thought maybe if you are the first to like a post you can then like it multiple times and increase the counter, so tried that on your post and nope still only one like counted. So now I am using a working hypothesis that you are just blessedRagged Robin wrote:I bow to your superior wisdom, Erol, but on my screen "like" is next to the "quote" button at the top of the post . Re: vessels out at sea
Just to update the like button appears on 'board styles' of prosilver and 'hestia blue' but not 'hestia green' (default style) or 'hestia purple' as far as I can tell and using the like button on either of the styles that has one, at least from my account, onl;y allows me to like 'once' in terms of the count of likes - though would appear that RR it works differently which is strange.

I'm pleased to hear we can change our board style as I often read posts that I would 'like' if I could, rather than writing a post. Must be getting lazyerol wrote:Just for anyone as confused as I was initially about what this 'likes' thing was about, the 'like' button on a post only shows if you use the 'prosilver' board style (as far as I can tell). They are laying the pipeline, Mersin. Every now and then one of the smaller tugs tows a long length to the bigger ships to be submerged. They aren't going to Syria, not just yet anyway.

The like button is still in working process, had stopped due to problems with hacker, but will be working on this again soon. It will be available on all board styles of the forum.

Keıth.you have been taken in by the TRNC propaganda machine regarding the water from Turkey.İn Nov 2014 an expert said 'pipeline'not ready for 6 weeks,'but don't quote me,I'm retiring soon'!!!.I also was told it was to be officially opened by Erdogan on Freedom Day.......but which year is the question?
