A group of friends want to go to the Water Park in the south.

Can any one suggest transportation from Girne? ie are there any tour operators or large dolmus type taxis available to do this? I know of the dolmus from Girne to Famagusta but as yet have not been to check if they go to the South too.

A 7 seater taxi from Girne to the Waterpark would e 75 pounds each way. A bus from the end of Ledra street would cost approx. 8 Euro return and it stops right outside the park. I think the last one back is 7pm, not sure of other times but you can google timetable. If you use the bus get there early as very popular, they have put on extra buses in the past but not always.

It is a great water park, although I have not been for sometime. However, you are not allowed to take your own food/drinks in and their fast food outlets leave a lot to be desired and you can imagine the queues which is a shame really as this lets it down I think. Still a good day out though.
