Why has my screen gone horrible colours??
For some reason most of the posts are now red which coupled with the bright apple green of the banners & rest of the writing makes for a very obnoxious screen - advice please?

Red text is new unread posts. Anyway, if you dislike the green you can choose another colour, just click on User Control Panel - Board Preferences - and select from a dropdown list a Board Colour.

Instead of clicking on the Kibkom Forum Logo at the top, try clicking on one of these: 'View active topics' or 'View unread posts' or 'View new posts' - much more pleasant on the eye, and allow you more latitude in what you want to view...

Hi thanks Keith have changed to 'View new posts' & most of the red writing has gone! Have had a thing about red writing from an early age not sure why I hate it so much but I do.

When I was at school the teachers used to underline and comment on mistakes in homework in red ink. Sometimes you couldn't see the original work for red ink! Maybe some such experience accounts for your phobia, Ozankoys? I am sure Soner wouldn't be so unkind though

Yes the teachers always marked in red but that is not the reason, I always used to get good marks at school, just gone downhill as I've got older!

RR, ozankoys, the way to deal with phobias is to attack it had on, so maybe using the forum more and see more red text will help the problem.
If you still have problems with it by next week let me know and I will get that red out of your life., lol

Thank you Soner but it was Rose who called it a phobia I just dislike it intensely but by clicking on 'View new posts' it is not nearly so obtrusive.

RED. Physical
Positive: Physical courage, strength, warmth, energy, basic survival, 'fight or flight', stimulation, masculinity, excitement.
Negative: Defiance, aggression, visual impact, strain.
Being the longest wavelength, red is a powerful colour. Although not technically the most visible, it has the property of appearing to be nearer than it is and therefore it grabs our attention first. Hence its effectiveness in traffic lights the world over. Its effect is physical; it stimulates us and raises the pulse rate, giving the impression that time is passing faster than it is. It relates to the masculine principle and can activate the "fight or flight" instinct. Red is strong, and very basic. Pure red is the simplest colour, with no subtlety. It is stimulating and lively, very friendly. At the same time, it can be perceived as demanding and aggressive.
