I find it odd that you should publish the warning and add the link to Snopes which marks the whole thing as probable hoax with a status of 'UNPROVEN' i.e. As it is doubtful there is any truth in it....

Good topic re, aircon. in car. I have to switch it off a lot of the time due to breathing being affected, I think it is a fairly well known fact that air con of any description whilst feeling more comfortable is not actually good for you.

Are your filters clean?

If the AC is not on recirculate, a lot of dust enters the car filters, obviously reduces efficiency, but allows more dust to enter the car (assuming the windows are closed of course).

Might be worth checking.
