Perseid shower (bits of Swift Tuttle) really spectacular last night.... should be some more tonight

What time were you watching? We started to watch at 21:00 hrs. (as per Cyprus today info), we only saw three up to 22:00hrs, then went indoors, back out again at 23:00 hrs. and saw only two more!
Maybe we did not see that many as we have the light pollution from those dreadful lasers that shine across the sky from the East and West of Girne.
What these idiots hope to achieve by having these lasers from their buildings is beyond me!

In Lapta saw only 1 about 9pm,couple more at 9.30,then got bored and went to bed

Only saw 2 between 9 - 11pm and then we gave up and went to bed too

In Bellapais/Ozankoy border.......watched for 2 hours as recommended, well, actually watched til about 12.00, didn't see any at all.

The best time to view the Perseids (as most meteor showers) is between midnight and dawn with just before dawn being the best time. So don't stay up late - get up early.
