Aircon question

Hi I currently have a 12,000BTU Unit for our kitchen / lounge. I'm told I need 24,000BTU for the area. Can I install another 12,000 unit or will they fight each other?

1 unit will lead the other but only by a fraction of a degree.

As the gentlemen says it will be fine and
If spread apart will cool the area better
Just check the way they take there power supply
It's always good for ac to have its own supply from your DB board
And not have two tapped off your ring main

I should add that 2 units will only fight each other if one is set to cooling and the other to heating.
