Good morning

We are just west of Lapta. Can anyone recommend a garage that will have the time to do more than just an engine service please? I need shocks and springs replaced for starters. Alsancak, Lapta, Karşıyaka area.

TIA

I've been using Ziggy recently. His garage is on the right about halfway down the road to the Merit Hotels (Royal and Crystal Cove). I've always found him fair, thorough and as a bonus he speaks perfect English.

Thanks, I too use Ziggy. However, Ziggy is a one man operation and tasks I have asked him to do previously have stressed him out as he has only been able work on my car for a couple of days, turning away other regular customers as a result. I am looking for another good garage, perhaps a little bigger operation than Ziggy as what I require doing will be labour/time consuming. General servicing: I will be back using Ziggy.

If you don't want to use Zihni (Ziggy) then the one up by Friends Hotel is your best bet. Not sure of the name but they are always very busy and are very professional. If you go up the road next to Friends and keep to the left, they are about 50 metres on the left. If you can, I'd take a Turkish speaker with you, if not you'll get by, but just might take a bit longer to get across what you need.

Thank you. I know that garage. Sevener use them too I believe. I will give them a try. Still open to other suggestions/recommendations. BTW, want to make it clear I have nothing against using Ziggy - I am doing him a favour by not asking him to do time consuming tasks on my car.

We have lived here for 8 years and always used Farac Garaj. Not a one man band and has done servicing, shocks, brakes, radiator and other necessary jobs to keep an old Pajero going. Would thoroughly recommend him and we would never go anywhere else. He also speaks English. You will find him at the top on the left of the road that goes to Kervan restaurant and the Merit (old Mercure) Hotel.

Can thoroughly recommend Farac , he's been looking after all my vehicles for the last 14 years. Never messes you around and never overcharges.
Have fun diving with Asim and tell him Ann (KAR) says hi, will be down to see him soon.

Update: vehicle serviced, pads, belts, shocks and springs changed at Farac Garaj. All good: communications, standard of workmanship and cost. I will certainly use this garage again.
