Pegasus London flight
Flew back last night from Instabul on the London flight we had a three and half hour delay not told what was going on packed to the brim lots of frustrated passengers that had booked seats but were taken when they came on board, why do Pegasus constantly use a very old plane for this flight they charge a premium rates . We came in from Milan the plane was pretty new lots more space nicer seats and the flight time was only two hours twenty minutes why do they not use a newer plane for the London flight as it is a much longer flight and normally full it does not make sense to me I think their service is getting worse but unfortunately there are not a lot of alternatives from the north .

Re: Pegasus London flight
According to the fleet register the plane on the Milan flight was just ten months or so younger than the one from London.
Agree on the seat space though that's why I try to use atlasjet.

Never used Larnaca, quite happy with Ercan after sixteen multiple flight years. (For now at least)

I use Turkish Airlines to Edinburgh - most competitive prices for getting to Scotland (if booked at the right time) and better service all round than many of the alternatives, including flights from the south. Realise it may not be so economical to destinations in England.

Re: Pegasus London flight
Used to use Pegasus a lot, but more recently have gone back to Turkish Airlines. Have found that Pegasus is not actually the 'budget airline' that people may think, and often is more expensive that TA. Plus, TA free food and drink, Pegasus rip off because they price everything in euros, and unless you happen to have some euros (which they invariably have no change for you so give it in lira), they offer a very poor exchange rate when converting to either sterling or TL so they have a win/win situation. Plus, I have now heard from 2 different sources that as of next year Pegasus will only allow 15 kilos free of charge on their international flights. Have looked on their website but cannot see anything to confirm this, but 2 people have now told me. So, other than the fact you don't have to change planes, Pegasus has nothing going for it for me. Have never used Larnaca and don't intend to.

Woodspeckie. Is there any other airline other that Turkish out of Manchester? 8 years since I went back to the UK. Always used them as no choice, but never a problem.

Monarch to Larnaca the alternative to Turkish Airlines, used them once but no comparison , you have to change planes at Istanbul but we have never had a problem. If you need assistance you can book it when purchasing your ticket, you can choose your meal , drinks included and 48 hours before flying you can check in on line and choose your seat.

Re: Pegasus London flight
Mrs Gee, Pegasus pricing policy for hold baggage has changed.15KG allowance is for domestic flights. The fees for baggage depend on which ticket package you have.If you have the advantage package you get 20KG free.
There is now a basic package which is the cheapest, but you can only take hand luggage. If you book the basic package and want to take hold luggage it will cost £2.00.
Now the best bit is that if you take the free luggage/advantage pack it cost £2 more than the basic package.
What Pegasus are trying to do is to tempt you with add ons that you don't won't or need.It is better to buy the basic package and add hold luggage at £2.00.
With regard to charging everything in euros the flight can be booked in different currencies. In relation to in flight money just take some euros with you especially loose change, just to see the look on the cabin crews faces when you give them euros and the disappointment that they are not going to make anything from the transactions.
All the facts are on Pegasus website.

Re: Pegasus London flight
Agree with Cooper on this.
We have used them for years with no complaints at all. Admittedly we are in the fortunate position of being able to book our flights early and so get the best prices.
A couple of years ago we had to cancel two sets of flights due to health reasons and Pegasus refunded 100 per cent of our money, which, with the package we had booked, they were not obliged to do.
So, speak as you find, I would say.

We always fly with Pegasus, not the best but far from the worst, just got return tickets Stansted to Ercan for October-November for 350 pounds for two people can't be bad at that price

Pegasus are killing the tourism trade in Cyprus. We booked through presidents holidays company , which were cheaper than Pegasus direct. They have little competion , why there flights are so dear

Re: Pegasus London flight
I see my old friends Onur Air are in the list.
The cabin crew used to smoke in the forward toilet, and one of the rear toilets was usually "out of order". When I saw inside once, it seemed to be full of the crew's goodies.
