Google problem

This week we have received text messages from friends in the UK who use google mail to say that e.mails sent to us are unable to be sent due to a problem at this end. We use Windows Live Mail and are receiving all other mail as usual. We are with Nethouse, would it be them blocking gmail as can find no faults on our system.

Anyone else having same problem

It is extremely unlikely that nethouse are blocking gmail I would say. Can you access your gmail account via your web browser ? If you can via the a web browser then the problem is probably down to windows live mail and its configuration.

Yes we can access our g.mail account and have asked friends to forward to there for the moment and have received them. We have also tried to forward from gmail to windows live without success. I will have another look at windows live and its configuration and hopefully that will sort it.

Sorry I misunderstood. Is the account that the mail being sent to, that your friends are unable to send to, a gmail account itself ? If you want to pm the affected email account address I could try sending test mails from here and that may give me more idea what the problem might be, if I get some kind error message or bounce when I try.

No our friends are trying to send to our nethouse email but they are using gmail in the UK and getting a report saying error at our end.
