Ticket sales are going well for this event with over 100 now sold. To avoid disappointment call in at the Wild Duck to book your seat and you can also view the menu that will be available on the night. Or phone Brian for tickets on - 0533 841 1882.
Don't forget your flags and if you want to dress up (or down) then crack on and feel free to enjoy the evening. We have 2 large screens this year. Oh, and Emma has requested that if you are seated on the grass please use plastic glasses as we don't want any children getting injured after the event. If you do have a seat on the grass could you also please place a blanket underneath it to protect the grass. Thanks in advance.

A very good evening and a great turnout.

I have just one constructive suggestion - instead of having 2 screens fairly close to each other, would it be possible to reposition one, or have another at the end by the duck enclosure? We were seated by the pool and both sound and vision were severely restricted.

Before I am harangued, I repeat that this is a suggestion and not a criticism - there may well be logistic reasons why my suggestion is not feasible.

Hi, I was sat at a table near the left-hand screen, and did notice that the two screens were fairly close, although angled in different directions, and having a TV / display background, (and a nosy nature ) I supposed that it was because both displays needed to be within a few metres of the 'signal source' (DVD player, I think) to keep the length of the signal cables within acceptable limits.

There are ways of getting reasonable picture quality over longer distances, but they may not have had access to the sort of gear needed to perform this 'trick'.
