Driving instructions to Paphos please
We are planning to drive over to Paphos as we have friends staying at the Pyramos Hotel which they tell us is in downtown Paphos. We were wondering which crossing would be the best Metahan or the one near Lefke. Does anybody know of the best route please.

Turn left at Bathos, then right into Hyperbole and straight on into Simile, you'll find Pathos just there....Poppy wrote:We are planning to drive over to Pathos as we have friends staying at the Pyramos Hotel which they tell us is in downtown Pathos. Re: Driving instructions to Pathos please
depending on where you live, i personally would go via Metahan, motorway all the way takes me about 2.15 hrs depending on which hotel my friends have stayed at.
I google the hotel to get directions from motorway exit.
very straight forward...

Where are you starting from, what time of the day? I, personally, would not drive in Nicosia during the morning rush hour. From the Bayarmadu crossing to Paphos is about 2+ hours on motorways.

Poppy, at that time, using Metehan, you'll get the the TRNC workers travelling to work in the RoC and then the GCs travelling to work in Nicosia. If you decide to use Metehan, add extra time for the traffic. Suggest you Google a route card.

Going down the motorways is fast and boring, take a trip over the mountain roads, stop at Troodos and have a coffee, enjoy the journey - its much more fun and a damn site cooler!!!
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Re: Driving instructions to Paphos please
If it helps there are not many travelling over the border to work in the south in my experience lately.
I have done the crossing around 7am/8am/8.30 am and sailed through each time. But i can only go on my experience..
At one time crossing at 7am there were always queues that appears not to be the case nowadays.
