Looks Arabic to me.
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Someone said it's an ottoman 2.5 piastres revenue stamp but not a clue what the script says.

the script is old Ottoman Turkish. It appears to be an official form. Unable to give you much information.

Believe it is something to do with the Registry Office in the village of Yeki. The top right hand side refers to a general number 96. Top left hand side refers to serial number 40.

Can't translate the script but it refers to a date as the 25th but can't work out which month and then has 229 - could be that this refers to 1229.

That's all I can provide.

As already mentioned the stamp is Ottoman 2.5.

Wish you best of luck finding someone who may be able to translate further. If you succeed please post here as I would be interested.

There is a Department of Antiquities in Girne which holds and displays a lot of old documents: they might be interested in seeing it, and to give you more info. It is some years since I visited (must try to remember to go again) and I assume they are still open. It is in a large house set in grounds just (as you are leaving Girne in the direction of Ozankoy) and on the same side as the State Hospital.

Let us know if you find anything out.
