‘Funday’ in Aid of Vic Chappell and SOS Children's Village

An evening of fundraising fun is in store next week in Lapta, in aid of two causes.
Organised by Lee Hickens, half of the event’s proceeds will go to supporting a seriously ill man, Vic Chappell and his wife Marie, while the other half will go to supporting children getting family based care under SOS Children’s Village’s programmes.

Taking place at JK’s Bar on Saturday 26th September, ‘Funday Saturday’ will feature fun and games such as a coconut shy, and a raffle with a variety of prizes up for grabs.
Lee Hickens will host the evening, which will also include live music and karaoke, as well as a 60s/70s disco.

Starting at 3pm, the activities will continue throughout the evening, including a ‘Name That Tune’ music quiz at around 6.30pm.
The proceeds going to SOS Children’s Village will go to supporting the family based care and family strengthening services to 262 children under its on-going programmes.
Donations or raffle prizes are gratefully accepted.

Hopefully the weather will be kind to us, we have got some nice raffle prizes and also some extra goodies donated by S.O.S. hopefully there will be a few stalls there, Barry Snakes will also be playing.

Glad you got the go ahead for your event JL and Jks to help Marie's husband. Like you say now the S.O.S. children also benefit.
