New electric meters what do we do next
All of our area has been fitted with new meters but no instructions on what to do next, also there are a few "swallows" who leave cash with friends to pay bills what do they do please?
Re: New electric meters what do we do next
We went to the Kibtec office in Girne, up the stairs to the left of the building this week after our new meter fitted. Asked for advice and the nice guy just added our email address (or your mobile number) to their computer system. All you need is your customer number which is on your old paper bill. From now on Kibtec will just send a message either via text or email to tell you what your bill is. You can also look on the kibtek website and also check using your customer number apparently. With regards paying ahead as swallows, we just put enough money to cover the monthly charge until we get back plus what we think we have used plus a bit more just in case. Anyone who has your customer number can go in and put some money on for you.

Re: New electric meters what do we do next
I dont have a new meter but dont get paper bills any more I just took an old bill to the bank and paid as usual. I did reply to the kib-tek text message but had nothing from them. I resent the fact that just because they change their system we have to do all the running around so I didnt.

Re: New electric meters what do we do next
That's nice to know, I'm due back next week so my meter might have changed.
I always leave credit on my elektrik so I shouldn't have a problem, I'll go in to the office as usual and see what happens.
If there are any issues I'll report back.
