How do I get my Apps back on my Smart TV?

This morning I couldn't get onto the web browser on my TV without agreeing to the terms and conditions. However when I clicked ok to the message it took me out of the Smart mode. After trying several times I reset the smart hub and now I have lost the majority of my apps and the instructions are in Greek! Can anyone tell me how to restore everything that was there yesterday?

If you have a samsung series c/d/e series tv then you need to do the following

on tv remote control push 'ff' (the two little triangles point to the right) then press "2" then "8" then "9" then fast back/rewind (two little arrows pointing to left)

you have to push this sequence within a certain time or it will not work. If it does work it will bring up a 'secret' menu that will allow you to set your region to the UK for apps (different from the general region setting in the normal menus)

If you have a smasung f/h or hu series TV there are different instructions as to how to access the 'secret' menu that lets you change region for apps - but I will only proivde that if you need it cause I have not got time to type it all out here right now

Hi Erol,
The model number of my TV is UE55H6400 so I assume it is "H" series. I tried your first method and that didn't work.

I forgot to mention that I don't have TV other than NTV/Filmon via the Browser or laptop link. I had already tried the support link but couldn't get past the TV icon to select menu because the message says not connected to aerial or cable ........

It really should not matter. Just select TV as source - it will say 'no signal' but that is not a problem. When you are on TV as source then just press menu on your remote control. The 'set up' procedure may first search for channels before taking you to the part where you can enter the 'code' but if it does just let it try to find channels (which it will not because you have no aerial). If it really will not let proceed without finding some sort of channel from an aerial you could always try the old 'stick a coat hanger in the aerial socket' - just make sure its a metal one and not wooden

Basically it should not matter that you do not have or use an aerial - just follow the instructions in the link I gave.

Thank you Erol, i have managed to get some back but not the apps I had before like I player etc. For some reason when I go through set up I can only select eastern European countries! I think I need to get the guy from the samsung shop out. Judy

Very strange. I have never seen or heard of a Samsung TV that does not offer UK as an 'apps' location once you manage to get to the 'secret' menu' using the 'special code' before.

There is another thing you could try but its a bit technical and requires you to have a laptop with wifi internet connection and a VPN and that also has an ethernet port on it. You connect with the laptop to the internet with wifi, then connect to the VPN, then use a windows thing called 'internet connection sharing' to share the wifi/vpned connection to the tv via the ethernet port - and connect the tv to the laptop via the ethernet port. If you can get all that working the TV will think it is in the UK and should just download the UK apps if you do a reset whilst connected that way. Might be easier to try the guy from the samsung shop to be honest, but if they are unable to help me drop me a pm and ill see if I can help.
