Went on Wednesday and it closes at 2.40pm Monday to Friday, closed at weekends.

For information the office at Metahan where you get the free letter (tax) to cross the border with a car is open 7.50 to 14.40 Monday to Friday if you are not in the before 14.30 they can refuse to let you in so they can be finished by 14.40 !

We came back through Pile last night about 8.45 and we noticed the insurance office for going south was still open.

In case anyone is planning to go South on Monday, it's a holiday so the 'MOT' office will be closed.

Judy, I think the hours published are correct but they probably copped off early...best to given them an extra 30 mins in the morning and go no later than 30 minutes before advertised closing time. They were definitely open at 9.30 last Thursday.
