KindyROO - Parent-Child Developmental Program

KindyROO (also known as GymbaROO or BabyROO) is an internationally recognized parent-child program used to encourage sensory development of children from birth to school age. It was established in Australia and is currently being trialed for the inclusion of the program in the Australian National Curriculum. The KindyROO program has also recently been launched in the UK. The program supports children's neurological, language and social development in addition to the strengthening of fine and gross motor skills. Furthermore it provides an environment which contributes to children's social development as well as providing an place where parents may socialize with other parents with children of similar ages. Finally the program aims to strengthen the areas essential for school readiness by improving attention, increasing eye muscles strength and teaching children how to use their body parts independently.

Last year a KindyROO Centre was opened in Lefkosa and had since developed a weekly Turkish program for parents and their children from birth to 5 years of age.

The team at the KindyROO Centre are considering the possibility of beginning these classes in English for English speaking parents. At this stage I am trying to find out what the likely interest would be among English speaking parents. If you are a parent of preschool children or you know a family with children aged from birth to five years old who might be interested in participating in such a program please could you let me know.
