I am flying from Ercan Thursday morning and I am wondering what time the main road to the airport will be closed. Does anyone know please? Thanks.

Go over the mountains on the old road, Peter.

Yes Vaughan we would but we were asking for a family friend who is unfamiliar with the area and it will be dark when he is driving.

I can't imagine that there will be any marches or parades in the dark so if it is daylight even if your friend is unused to the mountain road then they would be able to take the mountain road.

Alternatively get a taxi which would be used to the mountain drive

The route from Ozankoy to Ercan via the 'mountain road' is straightforward, even in the dark. Google a route card for your family friend.
