RBL POPPY WALK 2015 - Sat 31st OCT

We are pleased to yet again host this years RBL POPPY WALK which will take place on Sat 31st Oct.
As per previous years, there are 5k and 10k routes which will start from JK's Bar in Lapta (near the Sempati Hotel) at 11am.
Please note that pre-registration for the walk is NOT possible this year; registration is on the day so please arrive early.
The cost is 15tl per person and there will be a BBQ, live entertainment and a raffle following the event. Sponsorship forms are also available - pls contact Rachel from the RBL on 0533 8838166 or Daren at JK's on 0533 8356114 for more information.

I am probably going to run it... but is it up hill / down dale or a nice flat route?

Organiser Rachael Lyes commented:“Unlike the previous 3 years there will be no pre-registration this year so please arrive from 10am onwards to log in for the walk at the registration desks ready for an 11am start. The weather should be fine and we are hoping again for a bumper crowd as usual and you can do either the 5Km or 10Km walk. It is an easy flat route avoiding the main roads and taking in the scenic views of the Lapta coastal path, plus there will be entertainment laid on afterwards with DJ Pete Murray. Daren will be selling his tasty beef burgers, of course the bar will be open for soft and alcoholic drinks, and there will be lots of goodies to purchase at the Poppy stall. So come on down and support this worthy cause, plus we have the added bonus that Jarra Brown will be on hand to sign his book ‘46 Miles’.”
