Hotmail off

I have not been able to send or receive emails for 24 hrs. As I a. Not technical just called up "problems with hotmail" and seems it is down. Has anyone been able to solve their problems with this and would they be kind enough to tell me how to solve problem in easy steps. Thank you.

From here with limited investigation my best guess is that it is 'you' and not hotmail generally on basis that my hotmail account appears ok and there is no status report here of any problems

this is the service status for outlook.com - but my understanding is that that would include hotmail email accounts.

Thank you Erol, clicked on site and see what you say. Now the tricky bit, what can I do? Is there a hotmail line?

I put in " hotmail problems" into my safari and up came that problems with this and many people cannot get into emails or send the. Lots of comments. I ask if there is anybody out there who understands all this technical stuff who I can take my iPad to. Must speak English. I am completely stuck, need help. Thanks.

Here I am again. I have to say an enormous thank you to Erol of Multimax. He phoned me and spent absolutely ages helping me get onto hotmail again. It was not a quick fix. He was great I cannot thank him enough, what a diamond.
