Has Campana closed down?
Noticed last night that Campana was closed and signs over the front of it said construction under way.
Has it closed or changed hands does anyone know?
Shame if it has closed as it was a nice venue.

Cacao has part ownership of it as far as I know, and they're not faring too well. The Lefkoşa shop has closed, as has the Alsancak one.

Re: Has Campana closed down?
not surprised at all....it was the place to be to show off in the summer months by the youngsters, who thought it was cool to have their car parked by some obliging member of staff. The food and service were both rubbish when we tried it. We liked to watch the posers for the short time it was popular...but it was never going to last. Very big waste of money......in my humble opinion.......I understand proper italian food, and this was no where near.....

Not surprised, went in the Alsancak Cacao two weeks ago and asked for cappuccino, got what I was convinced was a Cadbury packet version. The young guy who started the company had a dream of a branch in every major city in the world.

Well, hopefully we will now get some proper Italian food from Emiliano.....looking forward to it. Campana was not an Italian Restaurant at all, just a place for posers.Shame about Cacao though, although not an ice cream lover, have to say I thought the concept was really good. The Campana concept, I simply could not get my head around.....bad food, bad service, it was never going to last.
